Kulturnatten, which translates to "Culture Night" in English, is one of Copenhagen's most anticipated and vibrant annual events. Held every October, this city-wide festival transforms Denmark's capital into a nocturnal wonderland of art, music, theater, and cultural experiences. Typically taking place on a Friday evening in October, from 6 PM until midnight, Kulturnatten sees over 250 museums, theaters, educational institutions, churches, and other venues across Copenhagen open their doors to the public. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, including concerts, art exhibitions, guided tours, workshops, and performances

In 2024, for the third year in a row, Ukraine House in Denmark was proud to bring Ukrainian art and traditions to the festival contributing to the cultural diversity that makes this night so special.

Our "Heart of Earth" exhibition became the highlight of Ukraine House in Denmark's Kulturnatten program in 2024. Over 350 visitors joined our guided tours, immersed themselves in Ukrainian music, and enjoyed a botanical printing workshop led by the Copenhagen-based artists Olha Kapustiak and Alla Sinkevich.

By participating in Kulturnatten on an annual basis, Ukraine House in Denmark continuously builds bridges between Danish and Ukrainian cultures, fostering mutual understanding and appreciation.
