The Impact of Technology on Wartime Photography

We invite you to a talk by Kateryna Radchenko, a curator, photography researcher, and a key figure in shaping contemporary Ukrainian photography about how technology changes the way war is seen.

She is the curator of the Ukrainian House of Photography in Kyiv and the founder of the International Festival Odesa Photo Days, and her work spans exhibitions and research projects across Europe and beyond. Kateryna has collaborated with institutions such as Magnum Photos and the Magnum Foundation, served as a jury member of the World Press Photo Contest, and regularly contributes to international publications on photography and visual culture.

In her lecture, she will explore how the Russian full-scale invasion has made Ukraine one of the most documented wars in history. The talk will examine the evolution of Ukrainian photography since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and analyze how cutting-edge technologies are shaping a new visual language.
